Outer Banks Distilling History
Outer Banks Distilling is the first and only distillery in the Outer Banks. A small building built in the 1940s is home to a shop, tasting room, and everything associated with creating their delicious concoctions. All four founding members have extensive experience at several of the breweries and bars in the area, so you know that you are getting a product that is second-to-none here!

The best way to experience Outer Banks Distilling is by taking a tour of the facilities. You can discover everything that goes into the rum-making process in their on-site distilling room. This tour is a great activity for guests who are 21 and over on a rainy or stormy day. The distilling room doesn’t have air conditioning, so if you visit in the summer, leave any jackets, pants, or long-sleeved shirts at your vacation rental.
2. Sample Their Craft Spirits
The quaint tasting room at Outer Banks Distilling is a fantastic spot to sample their delicious line of rums. Their flagship rums feature an array of award-winning spirits. You can’t go wrong with choosing any of their products, but their silver, pecan, and gold rums are out of this world.
