Currituck Club – Corolla

Situated right off Currituck Clubhouse Drive in Corolla, this stands as one of the area’s finest courses. Designed by Rees Jones, Currituck Club offers a breathtaking blend of coastal dunes and wetland preserves. The 18-hole layout stretches over 6,800 yards from the back tees, making this a great challenge for experienced golfers with enough tees for beginners.

Nags Head Golf Links – Nags Head

Experience Scottish-links-style golf with dramatic ocean views at the Nags Head Golf Links. The coastal winds, along with its rolling dunes and sea grass, add an extra challenge, making it a favorite for skilled golfers. Wind is another big factor at this course, meaning club selection will matter just as much as the distance. Located right off South Seachase Drive, the championship tees on the course measure around 6,100 yards. While the course is a bit shorter, the challenge remains due to its features.

Kilmarlic Golf Club – Powells Point

Set within a peaceful forest, Kilmarlic, right over the Wright Memorial Bridge, is known for its well-maintained fairways and greens, offering a balanced challenge for all skill levels. Designed by Tom Steele, the course spans about 6,600 yards from the back tees. It’s known for excellent conditions and well-kept fairways.

Duck Woods Country Club – Southern Shores

Duck Woods Country Club, a private club, features tree-lined fairways and strategic hazards for a classic golfing experience. Sitting right along the border of Southern Shores and Kitty Hawk, this private course offers a more traditional feel with its well-groomed environment, quiet setting, and tee lengths of up to 6,650 yards, depending on the scorecard.

Sea Scape Golf Links – Kitty Hawk

Enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean on a course that combines natural beauty with a challenging layout at Sea Scape Golf Links. The par-70, 18-hole course measures around 6,100 yards from its farthest tee; the coastal breeze adds to the difficulty of this shorter Outer Banks course. For something a bit different from the rest, try out this distinctive, coastal course during your Outer Banks golf excursion.
